The Parent Teacher Orginization
The major voluntary adult group that contributes to the mission of the school is the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization). The PTO has five major committees, and their mission through those committees is to enrich the educational experiences of students at the school. The PTO committees are:
- School Environment & Ecology
- Thursday Tiendas (School Refreshment Stands)
- Grade Mothers (2 per grade section)
- Special Events
- Community Service & Links
The parents join the PTO as an optional activity, and they participate in the committee (s) of their choice. The Committees are very active and provide a source of varied and diverse activities to enrich the regular curriculum and daily life.
